A claim based on injuries sustained through the use of a defective product, otherwise known as a product liability claim, can involve products ranging from automobiles to elevators to exercise equipment to foods. In each instance, the issue is whether the manufacturer of the product was negligent in the design, manufacture, service, maintenance or issuance of warnings with respect to a particular product.
